Astralis management announced that Frederic "LOMME" Nielsen will serve as the team's analyst. For the past six months, the twenty-eight-year-old Danish eSports player has held a similar position at ENCE and previously worked as a coach for Heroic.
This is the purpose – often large-scale changes that have taken place in the team in recent weeks. In particular, Alexander “ave” Holdt replaced Danny "zonic" Sørensen as head coach, and Christian “k0nfig” was added to the active roster. Wieneke and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer.
LOMME had previously worked with ave on the same team, albeit in a different capacity: in 2017, Holdt was the coach of North Academy at the same time that Nielsen was part of its staff. In addition, for a short period of time, LOMME also worked with blameF, when the latter played for Heroic.
Commenting on his appointment, LOMME expressed hope that cooperation with one of the strongest European teams will be productive: “Conclude a contract with Astralis – something that almost every Danish person involved with CS:GO dreams of, and I'm thrilled that it happened to me. This is incredible – working alongside talented players and team members, many of whom I have encountered before at various stages of my career."
LOMME will immediately begin working with Astralis, and the new team will debut in the coming days at the BLAST Premier Fall Final.
