Spanish esports organization MAD Lions announced that Latvian player Kristers “keen” Darznex will leave its composition. The team management noted that the player was on the team under a probationary period, and now it will be looking for a replacement for him. It was assumed that Christers would serve as an in-game leader in MAD Lions.
The team formed a new lineup about two weeks ago, at the end of March. He managed to compete in two competitions – Nordic Masters Spring 2021 and the European regional tournament Funspark ULTI 2021, showing average results. In both cases, the team was limited to one victory and two defeats.
Now MAD Lions coach Jakub "kuben" Gurczynski plans to find a more experienced player for the role of in-game leader who can lead the roster, where the average age of the rest of the participants is about twenty years. Based on the official statement released by MAD Lions, it can be assumed that a lack of leadership skills was the reason for Christers' departure: “Unfortunately, the level of leadership skills we need is difficult to develop in such a short time, so we will be looking for another in-game leader. We are convinced that keen has a lot to offer us, but now we need a player of a different profile."
