Esports organization MAD Lions announced that it is closing its CS:GO division. This happened a few months after the lineup built around Thomas "TMB" Bandsback, replenished with two new players.
MAD Lions, originally based in Spain, has competed in CS:GO since its inception in 2017. At first, local teams performed under this name, but in 2019 the organization expanded beyond its region, signing a roster headed by Nikolai “HUNDEN” Petersen. In addition, she invested a large sum in the development of the Flashpoint project, which has now closed.
The Danish roster did not achieve significant success, and in 2021 the organization decided to assemble an international team, giving priority to the development of young promising players. At the beginning of 2022, the Ukrainian Viktor “sdy” joined the team, which at that time included e-sportsmen from Denmark, Lithuania and Ukraine. Orudzhev and the Pole Mikhail “MICHU” Muller. However, now they, like the rest of the participants, will have to look for a team again after MAD Lions released the following statement:
“Having competed for a long time, we have now decided to say goodbye to our CS:GO division and its players... Thanks to all the players and staff who worked with us.”
