The organizers of the BLAST and Fantasyexpo tournaments announced that teams Anonymo (Poland) and Sprout (Germany) will not compete at BLAST Rising due to a busy schedule. This decision was made after both teams passed the qualifying round for Flashpoint 3 – the first European RMR tournament of 2021, the schedule of which partially overlaps with BLAST Rising.
Anonymo's place in Group C will now be taken by MAD Lions, which is currently represented by e-sportsmen from different European countries. Last month, Theodor “SPELLAN” appeared in its composition. Nikolov, who became the sixth player on the active roster. Sprout's place in Group B will go to the Danish team Trickled, which will begin competing in the tournament on May 5-6. In the first matches she will play against Galaxy Racer, Astralis Talent and AGO.
The BLAST Rising tournament, which features a total of 24 teams, will begin on Monday. The top twelve teams in their groups will advance directly to the knockout stages, with a further four being seeded through two additional stages. The main part of the tournament will begin on May 19, and the grand final is scheduled for the 23rd. The total prize fund of the competition is $30,000.
