Martin "trace" Heldt to become Astralis head coach on a permanent basis

Astralis announced that Martin “trace” Heldt will remain her head coach after the major. He took this position on a temporary basis during the qualifying competitions, and largely thanks to his efforts, the team managed to significantly improve its performance.

In March, Alexander “ave” Holdt had to leave his post as head coach of the Danish team due to a ban from participating in Valve-organized tournaments as punishment for using a “coaching bug.” At first he began working with the youth team of Astralis, but soon left this position. Now the head coach of Astralis Talent will be Andreas “MODDII” Fried, a Swedish eSports player who has worked with Danish teams for most of his career.

Commenting on the decision to permanently cooperate with trace, Astralis head Kasper Hvidt noted the positive impact of the new coach on the team: this year the Danes managed to qualify for the major and performed well at the BLAST Showdown, losing to ENCE in the grand final. Trace himself also praised the opportunity to continue cooperation: “When you work with such talented players as the members of Astralis, the main thing is to create an optimal environment for them so that they can use all their resources to show results in the game.” We may not always win, but we do everything to make this possible."
