Mezii spoke about the UK cybersports scene and his future plans

British eSports player William "mezii" Merriman, in a recent interview with HLTV, spoke about his experience playing professional CS:GO in England, reaching the international level and plans for the future. In 2019-2020, the young player performed well, playing for the British teams London and Vexed and achieving a stable rating of 1.17. Now he has taken the next step in his career by moving to Gamers Legion to begin competing at the international level.

The player said that one of the most important differences between the British and international teams that he noticed – this is the right attitude. Players from England often find it difficult to stay focused if things don't go according to plan, while top eSports players remain positive and fight to win in any situation. At the same time, since the teams in which meizii played before largely took European teams as a model, the style of play in Gamers Legion is not much different from what he is used to.

Team Vexed disbanded a few months ago, largely due to the fact that the players did not have the opportunity to train enough, paying much attention to personal problems. mezii is currently planning to make eSports his main occupation after finishing his university studies in May. The main goal that GamersLegion now sets for itself – getting into the top 30 and participating in high-level online tournaments.

Several more notable players have recently emerged from British teams, including Owen “smooya” Butterfield, Mateusz «mantuu» Wilczewski and Thomas "Thomas" Atting.
