Mongolian D13 team to start playing in European tournaments

Enkhmanlai "world" Batbayar – owner, coach, manager and investor of the Mongolian D13 announced that his team will move to Turkey for at least a year to gain the opportunity to compete in the European championships. He explains that he made this decision quite spontaneously, realizing that the quality of the Internet connection in Turkey would give players the opportunity to easily participate in major eSports events.

D3 previously tried several times to enter the European eSports scene, but it was difficult largely due to high ping. However, at the beginning of 2021, the team managed to perform successfully in the ESEA Open, but could not rise above the qualifying tournaments. The players hope that now they can perform much better.

World currently pays most of the costs associated with the team's relocation and training from the income it receives from business at home. Now, for some time, he will have to manage things remotely. However, he doesn't seem to mind having to constantly switch between multiple roles: “We love this game. Both my team and I love this game. I understand that my organization is small, but my players have good potential and great talent. I want us to learn from European teams. We're still nobody, but we'll work hard. And then nothing is impossible.”

Batbayar plans for the team to remain in Europe for at least a year, regardless of how it performs. If he manages to find additional funding and resolve visa issues, the team will move to Latvia by the end of 2021.
