July 1, the ESL Impact Valencia tournament started - one of the largest events for women's CS:GO teams. Over the course of three days, eight teams will compete for a prize pool totaling $100,000.
The competition will begin with the group stage, which will be played according to the GSL scheme. The opening matches will be played in a best-of-1 format, and the deciding and knockout matches – according to the best-of-3 system. Based on the results of the group stage, four teams will advance to the next stage, and the grand final will take place on Sunday, July 3.
IEM Dallas recently hosted another significant tournament among women's teams. Then the list of winners was headed by the Russian Nigma Galaxy, the second place went to the Brazilian FURIA fe, and the third and fourth place was shared by the Portuguese BIG EQUIPA and the American CLG Red. The same teams will appear at ESL Impact Valencia, the Australian Mindfreak, who also took part in IEM Dallas, as well as three new teams – NAVI Javelins, MIBR fe and GODSENT fe.
Among the most notable players worth paying attention to are – Ana "ANa" Dumbrava and Ksenia "vilga" Kluenkova from Nigma Galaxy, who showed ratings of 1.36 and 1.24 in Dallas, respectively. Olga “Olga” is not inferior to them either. Rodriguez from FURIA fe.
