NASR Middle East team, which includes esports athletes from Albania, Hungary, Jordan and Iraq, qualified in their region by winning the Calyx Dune Cup Spring 2021, and thus received the right to participate in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. She performed confidently in the group stage, and then eliminated teams such as HLTZINC and Divine Vendetta from the playoffs, securing the lead in the tournament.
In the final match, NASR defeated Divine Vendetta on the Train and Nuke maps. Previously, these teams had already met in the group tournament, and then the clash ended in victory for Divine Vendetta. This time NASR were able to find the right tactics and gain an advantage from the very beginning. The greatest contribution to the victory was made by Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas and Abd-Alrahman "REAL1ZE" Arabyats, thanks to whom the team managed to finish the match already on the second map, winning it over their opponents with a slight advantage (22 – 19).
The BLAST Premier Spring Showdown tournament will be held from April 13 to 16, and the teams that take first place in it will be able to take part in the Spring Finals in June. In the near future, other tournaments should be held that serve as qualifying selections in various regions, for example, Winstrike CIS Cup for teams from the CIS and Latin Power for teams from Latin America.
