Natus Vincere won two victories in the Legends stage of PGL Major Antwerp. The opening match of the tournament for the CIS team was a confrontation with G2, which currently ranks sixth in the world rankings. In the Mirage map, the teams demonstrated an almost early level: NAVI managed to win only in overtime, as a result of which the match ended with a score of 19 – 17.
In an interview after this match, Kirill “Boomb14” Mikhailov noted that the opponents turned out to be stronger than they expected. In addition, G2 had some advantage, since they had already played several matches during the tournament and had time to work out their interaction, while for NAVI this was the first match after the bootcamp. However, the team was able to win, despite the fact that the second half of the game was difficult.
In the afternoon, Natus Vincere won another victory – in the match against the German BIG. In this game the team felt much more confident, finishing the match on Ancient with a score of 16 – 8. If in the first rounds the teams were level, then after switching sides the advantage of Natus Vincere became much more noticeable, and BIG was practically unable to oppose it. Thus, the leading positions are still occupied by Natus Vincere, Copenhagen Flames and Spirit, who have won two victories each.
