
Natus Vincere became the second team to secure a place in the playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm. With a 2-0 win against NIP, she now has three wins in the Legends stage, guaranteeing her a spot in the next stage of the tournament. The first team to advance to the Champions stage was G2, which also won three matches in a row.
Despite the fact that NAVI and NIP currently occupy the top two positions in the world rankings, the Swedish team was unable to compete with its competitors from the CIS, losing to both Nuke and Overpass. On the first map, NAVI managed to immediately gain a seven-round advantage and, although NIP was then able to even the score for a while, after switching sides Natus Vincere again demonstrated that they were in control of the situation, finishing the map with a score of 16 – 9. Events developed in a similar way on Overpass. The best player of the match was Valery “B1T”, who recently joined NAVI’s main roster. Vakhovsky, who, moreover, had the honor of completing the map, bringing the team the last point in the match.
Thus, two participants in the PGL Major Stockholm playoffs have already been decided, and which of the contenders will get the remaining six slots will become clear in the near future.
