After an unexpected defeat from Akuma, Natus Vincere were still able to rally and defeat forZe in the EPIC CIS League. Thus, “born to win” will still continue to fight for reaching the final stage in the lower bracket of the tournament. The victory over forZe did not cause any special problems for NAVI: the team won on two maps (Dust2 and Mirage) in a row. Thus, forZe leave the tournament, finishing 7th – 8th place and receiving $1.5 in prize money and 950 rating points. Natus Vincere will now prepare for the next match: it will take place on May 28, and in it the team will meet Team Spirit or Gambit Esports.
Earlier, commenting on the unsuccessful match against Akuma, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov noted that he was ashamed in front of the fans for such a performance, but he could not say what exactly the problem was. The team could not find its game, which ultimately led to a crushing defeat. However, the players were able to pull themselves together, and now the team is ready to take note of the mistakes and fight for exit from the lower bracket. The player apologized to the fans and promised that Natus Vincere will try to prevent such failures from happening again.
Analyst Alexander «Petr1k» Petrik, commenting on this NAVI performance, noted that even professional CS: GO players often have unpredictable results, and it is difficult to predict exactly what factors influence the success of the game.
