Natus Vincere defeated Complexity and reached the final part of the upper bracket of the European championship ESL Pro League Season 12. Now they will have to meet the winner of the BIG match – Heroic, which will be determined on the evening of October 1.
The last time NAVI and Complexity met at ESL One Cologne, and then the team from the CIS lost with a score of 2:0. This time, Natus Vincere were able to continue their convincing winning streak: with the exception of a loss to ENCE in the group stage, they did not lose a single game during the tournament. It is not surprising that they were able to defeat Complexity without losing a single map.
In the match with Complexity, NAVI were able to quickly seize the initiative on Nuke, winning eight rounds in a row and eventually chalking up this map to their account (16:10). On Train, the teams were almost evenly matched at first, but gradually the team from the CIS gained an advantage. After switching sides, NAVI players successfully predicted the opponent’s actions in almost every round, eventually achieving a score of 16:7.
Complexity will now be in the lower bracket of the tournament, where it will face Astralis. The Danes have had mixed success so far: they lost a match with Heroic in the opening round of the upper bracket, and then won against Spirit.
