The main topic for discussion after the end of the tournament IEM Katowice was the victory of the team Natus Vincere, and completely deservedly so. NAVI not only won a convincing victory, but also showed one of their best performances in recent years, defeating difficult opponents both at the group stage of selection and in the playoffs - and the victory over the Danish team Astralis is possible call it simply humiliating for rivals. Alexander “s1mple" showed a particularly impressive level. Kostylev and Denis "electronic" Sharipov. And in the match with the already mentioned Astralis Egor «flamie» Vasiliev pulled off an ace that the audience will remember for a long time.
Last year was less successful for NAVI: due to the fact that two players left the team, they were able to get only one trophy. Despite these difficulties, the team showed a successful enough game to remain in the TOP 10. Now the team has managed to reach a new level, largely due to the fact that its players began to demonstrate not only high individual skills, but also ideal teamwork. This is largely the merit of the team’s new coach, Andrey «B1ad3» Gorodensky.
After the tournament Natus Vincere rose to second place in the ranking HLTV, and only four points separate them from Astralis. Soon NAVI will have to prove its level at the ESL Pro League.
