On March 9, HLTV updated their team rating data, and Natus Vincere took first place in it. Now NAVI has 853 points, and the Danish team Astralis is six points behind. The Danes first rose to the top in April 2018, when they won three majors in a row in a short period of time. However, they failed to stay in first position for long: they were displaced from it by the American team Team Liquid.
Natus Vincere rises to the top of the HLTV ratings for the second time in its history. The last time she became a leader was in the spring of 2016. However, she managed to stay in first place for only three weeks – she was soon overtaken by Team Luminosity.
The main achievement that brought NAVI back to the top was the team’s crushing victory at the IEM championship in Katowice. Soon we will see how NAVI and Astralis will fight again – in the new season of the ESL Pro League, which is scheduled to start on March 16.
Currently the top HLTV rating looks like this: NAVI takes first place, followed by Astralis with a very small margin, and the next place with a rather serious lag is occupied by mousesports (639 points in total). Fnatic failed to stay in the top five. The fourth and fifth positions were taken by G2 Esports and Team Liquid.
