On April 18, Heroic was able to defeat Natus Vincere for the first time since 2018. At the previous stage of the tournament, the Danish team won against forZe and fnatic. Thus, thanks to three victories in a row, she guaranteed herself a place in the Legends stage of the major. NAVI, which won two matches out of three, still has a chance to get to the PGL Major Antwerp – whether it becomes a reality will largely depend on the outcome of tomorrow's match against Vitality.
The first map of the match was Mirage, on which NAVI was able to win with a score of 16 – 11. However, the next two maps (Mirage and Inferno) remained with Heroic, and in the commentary after the match Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev noted that his team made stupid mistakes.
Heroic in-game leader Casper "cadiaN" Möller mentioned in an interview after the game that the match was very tense. He suggests that difficult external circumstances also played a role in Natus Vincere's loss, which undoubtedly prevented the players from remaining fully concentrated, so the fact that they are still performing at a high level gives him respect. Möller added that he was proud of the victory over Natus Vincere, since the confrontation with this team gave him many sleepless nights.
