In the match that took place on May 29, Natus Vincere beat Ninjas in Pajamas, securing their exit from the group stage of the DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 championship in Europe. The Swedes lost with a score of 0:2 on the Overpass and Nuke maps. Before this, NiP had already suffered one defeat from Vitality, but they still have a chance to qualify from the group. This will depend on the result of their next match, in which they will face ENCE. It will take place on May 30.
At Overpass, Natus Vincere demonstrated an active game from the very beginning, quickly gaining an advantage and eventually winning the map with a score of 16: 8. The greatest performance was shown by Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev and Denis "electronic" Sharipov. On Nuke, the fight was more stubborn: at first Ninjas in Pajamas were leading with a score of 7:0 and it seemed that they had every chance of taking this map, but NAVI managed to pull themselves together and reduce the difference to three points by the time the sides changed. In the second half of the round, the team from the CIS reduced the gap and eventually won the map by a small margin – 16:14.
As a result, the Vitality team remains the leader of the group, and Natus Vincere takes second place. The playoff matches will begin on June 8, and the grand final will take place on June 14, the winner of which will receive $54,000. All matches are played online.
