Ingame leader of the G2 team Nemanja “nexa” Isakovic will not be able to take part in IEM Winter in the first half of December due to visa problems. The team management announced this at the beginning of the week. The place of the Serbian e-sportsman in the active roster will be temporarily taken by Kenny “kennyS” Shrub, which has remained in stock since March of this year.
In her statement regarding G2, she noted that the French player will temporarily take the place of the sniper, sharing this task with another participant – François “AmaNEk” Delaunay. Team representatives also note that nexa “will return to his duties as soon as possible,” that is, when his visa problems are resolved.
Before the end of the year, G2 remains to perform at one more major event, namely the BLAST Premier World Final. This tournament will also be held in a LAN format. It remains unknown how quickly nexa will be able to obtain a visa and whether he will be able to travel to the competition site to take part in them.
Thus, at IEM Winter the G2 roster will consist of two players from Bosnia and Herzegovina (NiKo and huNter) and three French players (JaCkz, AmaNEk and kennyS). The team's coach is still the German e-sportsman Jan "Swani" Muller.
