The Swedish team NIP managed to climb into the top 3 of the world rankings for the first time since December 2016. After a brilliant performance at the European stage of IEM Fall, NIP pushed Vitality out of third place. This is the first time in almost five years that an organization has risen to such a high position in the ranking. Last time she was in third place in the top after winning IEM Oakland in 2016.
This was largely possible thanks to a series of eleven successful matches in a row, the final result of which was a victory over ENCE in the fight for the title at IEM Fall EU. Doing this tournament was the first major achievement for NIP since they won the FACEIT Europe Minor in 2018. During the current series of victories, the Swedish team managed to strengthen its position in the ranking, winning, among other things, against its closest rivals – G2 and Vitality.
NIP's next appearance will be on October 20th when she will compete in the Battle of Betway event against teams such as G2 and BIG. Players will then focus on preparing for the PGL Major Stockholm. NIP will begin participating in the major from the second stage, since she received an invitation to the Legends group.
