Swedish esports organization NIP has announced a contract extension for its longest-serving current member. Thus, Frederick "REZ" Sterner will spend the next three years with the team. This news comes shortly after NIP defeated Team One in another ESL Pro League match with a score of 2:0, with REZ winning the final round, standing last against four opponents.
The eSports player, now 23, has been playing for NIP for four years. He joined the team in 2017, and now, after a contract extension, he will remain with it until 2025. Sterner himself commented on this news as follows: “At the time when I joined the organization, I was just a noob, and there were many experienced players around me. Now I’m ready to share my wisdom myself.” Over the past three months, REZ has achieved a rating of 1.10, almost equal to the team's best player – Nikolai "device" Readem, whose rating is 1.11.
The team management has high hopes for the player. One of the leaders of NIP, Jonas Gundersen, believes that REZ is now in the prime of its career. He has come a long way in recent years and continues to develop, so he will play an important role in the team's continued success.
