NiP has launched a talent search program

The Swedish team Ninjas in Pajamas announced the launch of the “Path of Ninja” talent search program. In collaboration with the Swedish CS:GO league called Elitserien, they will be looking for, recruiting and supporting young players. After each Elitserien season, two or three players who perform particularly well will receive an invitation to the program. Her main goal – reduce the gap between young eSports players and the professional scene.

The selection of players will be carried out by a jury, which will include Potti – player of the first team of Ninjas in Pajamas and one of the founders of the organization, current coach of NiP Bjorn "THREAT" Pers, team operations director Jonas Gundersen, as well as Frederik "JAEGARN" Andersson from Area Academy.

Jonas Gundersen notes that modern e-sports has already established practices that help promote beginners – youth squads and rosters of six people. However, the talent program will help strengthen this focus: “We see a need to support the underlying ecosystem and create the preconditions for creating a youth team in the future.” Potti explains that he wants to replicate the prospect-matching mechanism that made Ninjas in Pajamas such a success in the first place.
