October 22 update: stickers in honor of the Rio majors and other innovations

On the night of October 22, Valve released an update for CS:GO, which included long-awaited stickers dedicated to the upcoming major. Thus, the update was released a week before the tournament, which starts on October 31.

Among the items available for purchase – stickers with team symbols and players’ autographs, as well as a “Spectator’s Pass”, which gives access to participation in the Rio Pick’Em Challenge and other additional opportunities. Among them:

&bul; the ability to use team graffiti without restrictions;

&bul; access to souvenir sets;

&bul; event coin.

Capsules with player autographs and team symbols are divided by the level of teams in the tournament (Contendders, Challengers and Legends) and are available for purchase directly in the game or in the Steam store. Half of the proceeds from their sales traditionally go to the teams and players participating in the major.

It is worth mentioning that the update was not limited to adding items related to the tournament in Rio. Amendments and bug fixes affected the Ember, Vineyard and Cascade maps. The developers have fixed several visual and gameplay flaws, and Ember has also released a Halloween version with pumpkins, graves, crows instead of seagulls and other decorations reminiscent of this holiday.
