On April 26, Valve released a major update for CS2, which was called “On the other hand.” The changes affected various aspects of the game: in addition to updates to several maps, players can expect interface improvements that will make the game more convenient.
Updating the map pool and visual improvements
The largest change affecting the maps was the replacement of Overpass with Dust2 in competitive mode and in Premier matches. In addition, minor fixes have been made to several other maps – improved performance, fixed visual bugs, improved collisions.

Not only the maps were improved, but also two skins: the AK-47 Inheritance had its texture and mask adjusted, and USP-S Jawbreaker corrected the location of the ambient occlusion texture.
Updates to the interface and subtleties of the gameplay
Several changes have also appeared in the inventory interface. Improved lighting on maps that are used as backgrounds when inspecting weapons. The inspection screen itself is now more informative: you can see wear information in it, and in panels where previously only the custom name of the item was shown, you can now see the main one.
The shopping menu during a match now looks more convenient: it now has a “thrown weapons” panel, with which you can pick up items thrown by teammates. In addition, the player is now shown the amount of money that he will definitely be able to receive in the next round, which simplifies planning.

The rewards that players can get during a match have also changed:
In competitive mode, killing with Zeus now rewards $100.
If you manage to hit an enemy with the CZ75-Auto, the player will now receive $300 instead of $100.
Reward for a kill with an XM1014, on the contrary, has decreased and now amounts to $600.
In casual mode, the rewards remain half as much as in competitive mode.
Several more changes should make the game more comfortable
Now players can set the preferred hand in which the character will hold the weapon. During the game, you can switch from the right hand to the left or vice versa using the hot key – by default it is N.
Grenades now have a separate sight that appears after you pull the pin. The delay can be adjusted separately for each grenade.
A bind has been added to switch the radar scale during a match. You will need to select an alternative radar scale in advance in the settings.
A pleasant addition to the update are large discounts on sticker sets with PGL Major Copenhagen – Now they are sold at 75% of the original price.
