June 4 update - reworking the prime system

On June 4, Valve released another update for Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The main innovation of this patch was the changes in how the prime system works. Players who do not have Prime status are now unable to obtain it through gameplay, whereas previously they could expect to receive it upon reaching a certain level. At the same time, those who do not have prime status will not be able to earn “For Service” medals, titles and other in-game rewards.

In connection with these changes, a new format of matchmaking without ranks has appeared. It replaced the Skirmish mode, which was removed from the game. In this format, the “Competitive”, “Partners” and “Partners” modes are available. and "Forbidden Zone". Those players who have prime status can choose which type of matchmaking to use, while everyone else can only play without ranks. The selection of players in the team will be carried out taking into account skills, but in one match there may be both players with and without prime.

In addition, several changes and edits were made in the patch. In particular, several Vscript functions have been added and the Workbench import capabilities have been improved. Now those who want to create their own skins can import files in .tga format.
