The organizers of the ESL Pro League Season 14 tournament announced the final composition of the teams that were selected for the main part of the competition. A total of 24 teams will qualify for the tournament – to the number of those selected earlier, seven more were added, who received an invitation due to their high position in the ESL World Ranking.
Half of the list is made up of twelve partner teams, which invariably make it to the list of participants. Among them are recognized leaders such as Natus Vincere, Astralis, fnatic and others. Another five qualified for the main part of the tournament thanks to victories in ESEA Premier in their regions – two teams from Europe, two from North America and one from Australia and New Zealand.
Finally, seven more teams will be able to participate in ESL Pro League Season 14 thanks to their rating points. Among them were Gambit, four more participants from the top ten of the ESL ranking, as well as Team Spirit and OG, who are now in thirteenth and fourteenth places.
The ESL Pro League Season 14 tournament, according to the original plans of the organizers, was supposed to be held in Malta in a LAN format, but due to the worsening epidemic situation, it will take place online. The first matches will be played on August 16.
