The organizers of the Malta Vibes Knockout Series tournament have announced the list of participants for the fourth season. It included a total of forty teams. Thirty-two of them will start fighting from the first stage of the tournament. The top eight competitors will advance to the next stage, where they will face another eight opponents who have been selected directly into the next stage. All matches will be played in the best-of-3 format.
The event prize pool is $50,000, and its final distribution will depend on how far each team advances in the tournament. For those who overcome the first stage, the reward will be $1,000, reaching the quarterfinals will add another $2,000 to this amount, and so on. In the grand final, teams will compete for $16,000 in prize money.
As in previous seasons of the tournament, the list of teams that made it to the Malta Vibes Knockout Series is very diverse: it includes both youth squads and veterans of the esports scene. Among the notable participants of the first stage – the Slovak Enterprise, which recently successfully performed at the V4 Future Sports Festival, the Turkish Eternal Fire and the youth team MOUZ NXT, which recently celebrated victory at the WePlay Academy. Teams such as Copenhagen Flames, Dignitas and MAD Lions were immediately selected for the second stage.
