
In the middle of the week, the organizers of the ROG Masters tournament announced the dates and order of the new season. A total of $32,000 will be up for grabs between the Asian teams competing in the qualifying and final matches.
The ROG Masters tournament series returns after a three-year break. First, preliminary stages will be held in fifteen countries, based on the results of which sixteen teams will be selected. Registration will be open from February 8 to February 28, with national qualifying matches taking place in March and April. Professional teams will begin participating immediately from the final qualifying stage, while amateur and newly created teams will first have to win the open qualifier. Among the countries where the selection will take place – Australia, South Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, Thailand and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The winners of the qualifying tournaments will receive not only a place in the finals, but also a cash prize. While the exact amounts of awards for each country have not been announced, it has already been confirmed that in Malaysia and Singapore the prize fund will be $1,200 each, of which $800 will go to the leader and $400 to the team that takes place. It can be expected that other countries will have similar amounts. In addition, the 16 teams that make it to the finals will compete for a prize pool of $15,000, of which the winner will receive $10,000.
