VIE.GG has announced the dates for the next tournament in the CS:GO Legend series. The games will be held online from August 31 to September 13. 12 European teams will take part in them, and the total prize fund they will compete for will be about $56,000. This is the largest amount in the history of CS:GO Legend Series. The competition is organized by Esports Entertainment Group, and VIE is the main sponsor.
Magnus Leppaniemi, a representative of the Esports Entertainment Group, said that the main goal of the event – provide the opportunity to compete for big money to lesser-known teams who are usually left out of key competitions. In the future, it is planned to hold other tournaments of a similar format, which will be open to teams not included in the top.
The tournament will be held in two stages. In the first 11 days, each team will play a match per day, receiving points and cash rewards for victories. After this, the eight teams in the leading positions will meet in the playoffs. The winner will receive $17,000. The composition of the participants has not yet been determined – Applications remain open for now.
