Relog Media has published information about the dates and conditions for the second season of the Pinnacle Cup tournament. It will take place in June-July 2021, and the total prize fund will be $100,000. The format will remain the same as Pinnacle Cup I: first there will be a qualifying group stage, then a Swiss stage of matches, after which the top teams will advance to the knockout stages. In addition, invited teams will appear in each stage. The winner will receive a significant portion of the prize fund – $80,000.
The teams that will receive invitations to the group stage will include several youth teams, including Young Ninjas, NAVI Junior and Spirit Academy. The four best of the sixteen participants will advance further, and in the next stage they will compete with twelve more invited teams, such as ENCE and Fiend. Finally, the eight winners will advance to the playoffs, where they will be joined by four more teams invited directly to the quarterfinals.
The Pinnacle Cup II group tour will take place on June 28-29, and the Swiss stage will take place in the first weeks of July. Finally, the playoffs will begin July 14-16. Most of the invited teams are already known, and several more participants will be announced soon.
