The organizers of the Elisa Invitational tournament spoke about the timing of the next competition and published the first lists of invited teams. This year, the Elisa Invitational will take place on October 26-28 and will serve as a qualifying round for the BLAST Premier Fall Europe Showdown. During the first two days there will be a group stage, and then the leading teams will fight for the championship, playing in a knockout format in the “best of 3” format.
Four of the invited teams – these are those who have already participated in the previous Elisa Invitational tournament, which took place in May. These are ENCE, Heroic, Apex and Godsent. A new member has also been added to the list – MAD Lions. Three more teams will be determined based on the results of the selection. One of the places will go to the winner of the Elisa Finnish Championship, who will be determined on September 26-27, and the other – winner of the Dust2.dk League Cup. It will become known on September 25-27. Finally, the team that receives the final invitation will be announced closer to the start of the qualifying tournament.
The head of BLAST notes that this tournament – a great opportunity for Scandinavian teams to prove themselves: “In May, the Elisa Invitational tournament became a significant event and helped draw attention to the actively developing esports scene in Finland and Scandinavia.
