ESL has announced the first ten teams to receive a direct invite to IEM Dallas. This tournament, with a prize pool of $250,000, is scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 5. The list includes teams occupying top positions in the world rankings, including FaZe, Natus Vincere and G2.
Also members of the organization regularly perform at major events, including Gambit (under the name Players), NIP and Heroic, as well as ENCE, which recently reached the grand finals of the ESL Pro League. The list is completed by FURIA, Vitality and Astralis. But Liquid and Outsiders were not included in the number of invitees, since they both did not have enough points for this.
In addition, ESL also spoke about the teams that will receive invitations to closed qualifying tournaments, which will be held on a regional basis. Participants from Europe and North America will be able to claim two places in the tournament for each region, while South America and Oceania will have one each.
Among the European teams that made it to this stage – Movistar Riders, fnatic, as well as Russian Entropiq and Virtus.pro (under the Outsiders tag). In the selection for the North American region, three invitations went to the leading teams from the USA and one – Brazilian GODSENT. Two more Brazilian teams represent South America. Finally, Looking for Org and Orders received invitations from Oceania countries. Interestingly, the Australian Renegades were not included in the list despite the fact that they won all home events.
