Following ESL, DreamHack also talked about how the winter tournament will take place. The competition, which will involve teams from Europe, Asia and Oceania, will take place from November 30 to December 6, and its total prize fund will be $250,000.
Top teams not only from Europe, but also from North America received direct invitations to the European division. The participation of Furia and Evil Geniuses was already known earlier, and now DreamHack announced that their slots will be transferred to the European division. FURIA will also join the number of invited teams. But Natus Vincere was not on the list of teams that received an invitation, despite the fact that it was previously mentioned among the partner teams. Thus, fourteen participants in the European division are already known, and two more will be determined based on the results of qualifying matches.
The Asian participants included TYLOO, Invictus and ViCi, as well as TIGER, which passed the qualifying selection. Four teams have also been invited from Oceania – Renegades, AVANT and ORDER, which will be joined by the qualifier Rooster.
It is expected that participants in the North American division will be announced in the coming days.
