The organizers of the Pinnacle Winter Series II tournament, which will be held in mid-February, have announced the list of participants. The event layout remained the same as in the previous season of the Pinnacle Winter Series. 16 teams will take part in the regional “best-of-3” matches. according to the Swiss system, after which the eight leaders will advance to the main stage. There they will compete according to the same Swiss system against eight more teams that received a direct invitation, and as a result the participants in the playoffs will be determined.
Organizations receiving regional invites include Spirit, 00Nation and MAD Lions, all debuting new lineups. In addition, a lot of spectator expectations are associated with K23, which won last season and received an invitation directly to the main stage. Another remarkable team – Apeks, who finished Pinnacle Winter Series I in second place and have performed successfully with their current lineup more than once.
The names of four more teams that will begin playing in the tournament immediately with the playoffs will be announced a little later. The winner of Pinnacle Winter Series II will receive a spot at the 2022 LAN Sweet LAN, as well as a significant portion of the $68,000 prize pool.
