StarLadder has announced the names of three of the four teams that will headline the Hellcase Cup 8 tournament. The European team OG, representatives of Kazakhstan Virtus.Pro and Russian TeamSpirit will take part in the tournament. They will go straight to the playoffs, bypassing the qualifying round.
The prize fund of the tournament will be $10,000, to which will be added funds raised through crowdfunding held on the tournament website. Last time, the total prize money reached $60,000.
The group stage is scheduled to take place from May 18 to July 14. Twelve teams will be invited to participate, while four more will be selected through qualifying games. Moreover, each group will have four participants, one of whom – qualified. The group stage leaders will advance to the playoffs, where they will face four invited teams for the championship title. The final games are scheduled for the end of June.
Among other tournament participants – Russian teams Hard Legion, Gambit Youngsters and pro100, as well as teams from Belarus, Sweden, Germany, France. The name of the fourth team, which will be invited to the playoffs along with Virtus.Pro, TeamSpirit and OG, will be announced later.
