The organizers of the Fragadelphia tournament cycle have announced the dates and conditions for the new competition cycle. A series of ten events kicks off in the US in early April. Eight tournaments will be held over the spring and summer in which teams will be able to earn ranking points. As a result, the participants in the final stage of Fragadelphia 17, which will be held in September in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), will be determined. At the final stage, a prize fund of $100,000 will be drawn.
The previous cycle of Fragadelphia 16 was carried out according to a similar scheme: events within its framework were held in different American cities, and based on their results, teams received rating points. Eight leaders in the ranking received places in the final stage. In addition, for the top 4 teams, the organizers paid all expenses associated with traveling to the tournament. Eight more teams received direct invitations.
The first event of the cycle starts on April 30 in Georgetown (Texas). Among other cities where Fragadelphia events will be held – Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Fallerton, Denver and North Brunswick. The last of them will end on August 14. In September, a “last chance tournament” will be held for teams that were unable to qualify.
