Tournament organizer Funspark spoke about the conditions of the new pre-season competition, which will take place in the second half of December – early January. Eighteen Asian teams will take part in it and will compete for a prize fund of $30,500. Among the teams invited to the tournament – TYLOO, TIGER and Invictus. In addition, the organizers mention that separate competitions will be held for teams from the European region, but details have not yet been disclosed.
At the first stage, sixteen teams will be divided into four groups, in which matches will be played, consisting of three maps. The leaders of each group will immediately advance to the playoffs, and the teams in second place will play additional decisive matches among themselves. The second phase of the tournament will also be held in a group format. This time the draw will be held in a double-elimination format, in two groups of four teams each. Thus, two teams from each group will qualify for the final stage. The playoffs will be held in the form typical for such tournaments – single-elimination with three cards played per match.
Tournament organizer Firespark also says that its largest event, Funspark ULTI Lan, which was postponed in October, remains without a fixed date until the epidemic situation improves.
