CBS Elite League Season 1 playoff participants have been determined

The CBS Elite League Season 1 Championship, the first ranking tournament of 2021 in South America, has reached the playoff stage. Previously, the group stage was associated with several scandals: five of the sixteen teams were forced to leave the competition due to the fact that some of their participants were associated with old accounts that were once subject to VAC ban. When information emerged that these players were under investigation, teams such as Isurus, DETONA, Bears, Jaguares and Keyd decided to withdraw from the tournament.

As a result, the leaders of the group stage were the Sharks and Bravos, who advanced to the playoffs with three victories each. In addition, the Brazilian team MIBR, which has suffered many setbacks in recent months, managed to bounce back from its defeat to the Sharks and eventually also secured a place in the final stage of the tournament, defeating three other Brazilian teams. Finally, in the last round of group matches, Havan Liberty, Meta and INTZ reached the finals. Thus, out of the eight teams that made it to the next stage, there were seven teams from Brazil and one – from Argentina.

The CBS Elite League Season playoffs will begin on May 13. The teams will compete for rating points and a prize fund of $18,200.
