Tournament organizer REPUBLEAGUE has published details of how the third season of the competition will take place. The prize fund of the tournament will be 140,000 euros, which will be divided between the participants of the closed qualifying stage and the main part.
Four open qualifying tournaments will be held in early and mid-February, two of which will involve teams from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. The remaining two will feature teams from other European countries. The winners of each qualifying competition will be among the 16 teams that advance to the closed qualifying stage. Seven teams, including forZe, Apeks Etropiq Prague and SINNERS, have already received direct invitations, with five more invited teams to be announced in the near future.
The prize fund for the closed qualification stage will be 20,000 euros. It will be played in a Swiss format, and the eight teams with the most points will advance to the final stage. A direct invitation to the main stage will be given to the teams that took second and third place in the previous season (Eternal Fire and Entropiq), as well as four more teams. As last time, the prize fund will be distributed between the four first places, and the winner of the tournament will take home 70,000 euros.
