We recently talked about Easter eggs and references in skins for different types of weapons, but don’t ignore stickers. Despite their small size, the creators of these decorative items often manage to fit several meanings into them that only an attentive player will notice.
Deceptive inscriptions
Often the double meaning of a sticker is revealed if it is erased. This is exactly what happens with the Silver sticker (“Silver”). If you scratch it, the drawing is erased, and instead the inscription “Sorryabouttheaim" appears, which can be translated as “Sorry for my poor aim.” Quite an appropriate phrase, considering that the silver rank in CS:GO – the lowest.
Sometimes one image is simply hidden inside another. For example, on the CounterTech sticker, the emblem turns into an image of a spider – symbol of the operation ShatteredWeb, c with which it is associated. And if you properly rub the sticker CSonthemind, which looks like an image of a brain, only the convolutions that form letters will remain on it "CS". Another joke in the same spirit – sticker called Don’tworry, I’mpro (“Don’t worry, I’m pro.”). If you scratch it, it turns into a smiling emoticon, hinting that you shouldn't take this inscription too seriously.
Interesting references
The creators of some stickers were clearly inspired by famous films or other popular culture phenomena. An example of this – a reference to the movie Fight Club, hidden in the sticker KnifeClub. When it is erased, another inscription appears in place of the original image – “Donottalkaboutknifeclub", that is, “Don’t talk about the club knives."
Players of Dota2 may like a sticker with the image of QueenofPain. If you erase it, the character's image turns into the inscription "Yousufferfool", referring to one of her lines. You can also find a reference to Halo among the stickers. This is a sticker called Noble, which, when erased, leaves an image of a laughing skull.
Jokes for players
There are also jokes about the gameplay itself. For example, the inscription “Welcometotheclutch" on the sticker of the same name turns into Welcometohell, which often fully reflects the experiences of a player who is left alone with the enemy. And the sticker called RetakeExpert turns into a sad image of a bomb.
The number of stickers in CS:GO is very large, and this is a great way for players to express themselves. Don't forget that many stickers look interesting not only as perfectly new – abrasions may reveal a hidden design or inscription.
