Russian Outsiders joined the number of teams that secured a place in the Legends stage of the major. On November 2, she beat fnatic on two maps, achieving a win-loss ratio of 3 – 1. Outsiders started its journey at the Challengers stage with a defeat, losing to MOUZ, but then, in a bitter struggle, won against IHC, Vitality and, finally, fnatic.
Despite the fact that the first map of the match, Overpass, was chosen by fnatic, the advantage on it turned out to be entirely with the Russian team. She won six rounds in a row, largely thanks to the clear actions of Evgeniy “FL1T” Lebedeva and Jami "Jame" Ali, who managed to kill enemy players a total of 16 times. During the sixth round, play was briefly suspended due to three fnatic players having computer problems. After they were resolved, the sixth round was replayed, and he ended up with the Outsiders. Soon the Russians' advantage became even more overwhelming, and the card draw ended with a score of 16 – 1.
Taking Mirage turned out to be not so easy: despite the fact that the Russian team gained a slight advantage every now and then, fnatic managed to equalize the score over and over again, and as a result the match ended with a minimal advantage (16 - 14).
Fnatic still has one more chance to advance to the Legends stage: on Thursday it will play against 9z. Now both teams have a win-loss ratio of 2 – 2, which means that the winner of this match will be able to continue fighting for the main prize, and the loser will leave the competition. Among other teams that have already guaranteed themselves places in the next stage of the tournament – Bad News Eagles, MOUZ, FURIA and BIG.
