Outsiders, whose leader is now Jami "Jame" Ali began her performance at the RMR tournament with victories over Monte and Heroic, but the team was unable to immediately guarantee itself a major. In the following matches she faced difficult opponents: she lost first to Natus Vincere and then to OG. Thus, the question of getting to the major was decided in the confrontation with the French Falcons, and Outsiders did not have any problems with them. On both maps the advantage of the Russian team was overwhelming.
It is worth mentioning other teams that proved their right to participate in the major on the last day of the qualifying tournaments. In particular, Liquid defeated Evil Geniuses in the match for first place at IEM Road to Rio Americas RMR, which gave it the opportunity to start its performance in Rio straight from the Legends stage. In Group A of the European tournament, Spirit distinguished itself, which also secured a place on Legends after defeating Cloud9. With a less noticeable advantage, the German BIG advanced to the major, winning in a bitter fight against K23, and MOUZ, which beat Sangal.
