March 13 patch - changes to Ancient and other updates

On March 13, Valve released a new patch for CS: GO, which included several significant changes. First of all, a number of changes have been made to the Ancient map, which was recently added to the competitive map pool. Considering that this decision was completely unexpected for many players, it is not surprising that the map required adjustments and bug fixes, given that it will soon begin to be used in tournaments. Map optimization has been improved, visual and gameplay flaws have been eliminated.

Also, a number of amendments were made to the Grind and Frostbite maps. Among them – Fixed collisions of some objects, updated textures and eliminated places where players could get stuck.

This patch also fixes an issue that has been plaguing players for some time. Previously, if players tried to connect to a game with “trusted mode” disabled, a warning about this was displayed multiple times and interfered with users. Now such a message will be shown only once per game.

The patch also eliminated a minor flaw in the calculation of statistics: the developers improved the algorithm according to which the weapon’s effectiveness indicator is calculated.
