Pita to become head coach of Copenhagen Flames

The Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames announced the signing of a contract with Farukh “pita” Pitoy, who will take the place of the lead coach of the CS:GO squad. Pita was invited to this position after Daniel "djL" left the team in July. Naransik, who previously held this post.

During his career, pita managed to compete in Scandinavian teams, and since 2014 he has worked as a coach. In particular, under his leadership, NIP achieved one of the biggest victories in its history, taking first place at ESL One Cologne 2014. Eight months later, he moved to CLG, and in 2018 he returned to NIP, with whom he collaborated until the end of 2019. After that, he remained without a team for a long time, and at the end of 2020, he also received a ban from ESIC for five and a half months due to the use of a “coach bug”. The term of this punishment has already expired.

One of the leaders of Copenhagen Flames, Daniel Vorborg, commented on the conclusion of the contract with Pita as follows: “At our level it is very difficult to find coaches who can help us move forward. Farukh has a wealth of experience, and after just a few days we can see how he has a positive impact on our team.” Vorborg also noted that he does not consider the case of using the “coach bug” a problem, since Pita has demonstrated the ability to admit and correct his mistakes, and therefore deserves trust.
