Peter ptr Gurney has made the decision to end his CS GO career

American e-sportsman Peter "ptr" Gurney, who played for the Bad News Bears, announced his retirement from CS:GO. In recent years, he has played as a sniper in several large teams, including CLG, NRG and Complexity, and at some points took on the functions of an in-game leader.

Gurney has been with the Bad New Bears for the past two and a half years, albeit with a few breaks. After his departure, the team, led by Alan “Shakezullah” Hardeman remains without a player less than two weeks before her opening match in Group A of ESL Pro League Season 14. In a post dedicated to the end of her CS:GO performances, ptr explained that she was going to concentrate on professional poker.

ptr's career in eSports began in 2014, when he began competing for the American mouseSpaz. Having changed several teams, a few years later he joined Test Takers – the team from which Bad New Bears was created in 2019. In 2020, with most matches moving online, ptr competed primarily in American tournaments. BNB has successfully competed in several regional competitions, including ESEA Cash Cups, Mythic Spring Series and DreamHack Masters Spring. As a result, the team was able to qualify for the play-in of the IEM Cologne championship, but quickly dropped out of the qualifying stage.
