In this article we will look at useful commands for CS GO, which can (and sometimes should) be written in the console. Let’s say right away that we would not recommend writing commands thoughtlessly. The most useful commands in CS GO
We would be happy to somehow divide the commands into categories, but many have similar functionality, while others are difficult to classify as a specific type of improvement. Therefore, we’ll just highlight them in bold, and then you’ll figure it out for yourself.
Output ping
One of the most useful commands for CS GO in the console if you constantly monitor FPS, ping and general network status. For ordinary casual players, these numbers on the screen mean absolutely nothing, but for more or less competent gamers and, especially, professional ones, these data will say a lot. To activate the panel, write in the console:

Increasing FPS
This tweak will be useful for those who boast 120+ hertz monitors, while their system allows them to produce more than 100 FPS at high settings, and even more. In other words, write in the console:
fps_max 0
This way you will disable the frames per second limiter and see sky-high numbers of 300+. Considering that today there are already 300 Hz matrices in PCs and laptops, the function will be useful.
Cleaning the store
This problem probably infuriates those who periodically pick up weapons at respawn, while the magazine immediately crashes inside the game when you press the “E” button. We fix the problems with the following command:
cl_use_opens_buy_menu 0
Now no false clicks and unnecessary movements — choose what you want.
What about your teammates?
A very useful console command for beginners in CS GO and for players who want to repeat the “cyber cutlet style”. To do this, you can run up to the player point-blank to examine the weapon, or you can write the following:
+cl_show_team_equipment (plus — not a typo)
Voila, now above the heads of all participants you can see information about the inventory (grenades + weapons), and at the same time the health indicator as a percentage.
Speed up launch
Who is already tired of the CS GO sign when starting the game? Probably everyone. Moreover, it is very long and takes up precious time. For such gamers there is a command:
novid
Now the initial screensaver will not be an eyesore. Quite a useful command for launching CS GO.
Playing with sound
Voice chat inside the game — this is good, but in 90% of cases, teammates have the most “bassy” ones. voices and measured manner of speech. In other words — hysterical squeaks and pseudo menacing shouts towards your relatives. To prevent this, use these commands:
voice_scale 0.3 — mutes the sounds of voice chat, which allows you to concentrate on the game;
voice_enable 0 — completely turns off the voice if you are tired of mutating everyone separately, while playing in a random setting, where it is not possible to control everyone.
We don't play by the rules
The next set of useful console commands in CS GO will be of interest to not the most honest players, or cheaters, to put it simply. But let’s immediately note that in multiplayer some commands are useless, so consider them a starting point for honing your skills in single player:
sv_cheats 1 — the main team that allows you to conduct almost any experiments on a personal server and during games with bots. The possibilities are almost limitless, including flying across the entire map and an insane rate of fire;
sv_grenade_trajectory 1
sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10 — will allow you to throw grenades and study the physics of flight during training. The first command turns on the mode, the second — increases the trigger duration to 10 seconds.
r_drawtracers_firstperson 0 — removes bullet holes from most rifles like AK-47. This way you will be able to better control the spray and will be more successful in training with a new barrel;
noclip — the same flight mode all over the map. The thing is cool, but it only works on its own server. You can bind a function to any button (for example — bind f1 noclip);
kill — kills everyone in the game. Useful in case you need to restart the skating rink for a variety of reasons;
god — a god mode that needs no special introduction. You just become immortal, but it gets boring very quickly, to be honest.
Recording videos
Among CS GO players there are also so-called creators. They are streamers, let-players, lovers of beautiful cuts and more. Valve has also prepared a specific package of console programs for them:
cl_drawonlydeathnotices 1 — great thing for movie makers. Completely removes the HUD (ammo, health/armor and other data), but leaves killfeed alerts on the TAB key;
demoui — command to open a window for viewing demo videos. Here you can speed up/slow down playback, run demo files and more;
spec_show_xray 1 — a useful command for CS GO, if FPS allows. Removes all walls, allowing you to follow the running trajectory of all players on the map (your own and others).
Well, let's finish with two standard commands:
disconnect — disconnecting from the current server. No need to do this through ESC and waste time. Some people like this method much better;
quit — exit the game bypassing all menus, including the main one. Simple and accessible.
