Late last week, Polish esports organization Illuminar announced that it was disbanding its current roster and would be looking for a new strategy to compete in CS:GO. This happened just three months after she signed a contract with Dominic "GruBy" Swiderski and several other players.
Frederick “Veggie” Kozel, head of esports at Illuminar, mentioned that the main reason for this decision – “a desire to change the strategy and direction of the team,” adding that the players’ contracts were terminated by mutual agreement of the parties. He has no doubt that each of them will be able to find a place for themselves in other professional teams. Veggie emphasized that the CS: GO division is not closing, and plans to form a new roster will be presented in the near future.
Illuminar recruited its current roster in February, but the players have not been able to achieve significant success. In mid-April they fell out of the top 100 in the world rankings. Thus, the players who were part of Illuminar are now free agents. Only coach Jedrej “Bogdan” plans to continue cooperation with the esports organization. Rokita, who will take part in the formation of the new line-up.
