Getting achievements in CS CS CS

Let's take a break from new modes, cyber sports, and other troubles and just talk about such a topic as getting CS GO achievements. Since this is an official Steam game, there are obscenely many achievements in Global Offensive. 

To be precise — about 167, and they are divided into 5 categories:

• Team tactics — 37 items;

• Combat skill — 40 items;

• Weapons specialist — 40 items;

• Researcher — 17 items;

• Weapons Master — 33 items.

On the sidelines of the game and on the forums there is information about 21 more awards, but today they have not been implemented in CS GO, or are at the production stage. Valve traditionally does not cover this topic, so we’ll leave them alone for now. 

Selecting the best map and server

Gamers have empirically determined that the top CS GO maps for getting achievements are Hostage Achievement Map and Achievement Lightning Roads. You can try your luck with the classics, but why go against the trends and complicate your task? 

We’ll also immediately talk about servers where you can get various types of achievements. The best CS GO servers for getting achievements — the well-known IDLE, which features the Achievers and Idles teams. The first team gathers in order to improve their statistics of in-game icons, and the second team enters the game exclusively to farm items. In order not to lose such a server, just find its IP address and add it to the Favorites tab. Done, you're amazing. Now let's move on to the achievements, and there are plenty of them here.

The most difficult achievements in terms of time and skill level

You shouldn’t assume that all the credits in CS GO are earned almost on your own. Some are easy, of course. For others, it will take a little time and a bit of luck. Third — practically impossible. We will highlight just a few hardcore ones:

• Blood money — earn 50 million game currency during the entire game;

• Take a break — make 1000 victories in modes such as Destruction of an object and Arms Race;

• King of the Mountain of Corpses — complete 5000 skating rink in the same Arms Race and Object Destruction. 

Experienced gamers note that such achievements can take from several months to a couple of years. It all depends on your pace of play, skill, perseverance and amount of free time. Some are frankly irrational, but you can decide for yourself.

Now let's move on to the categories and talk about them in more detail

Team tactics

We won’t talk about everything at once, because few people are interested in it. To begin with, we just note that to make the task easier, you need to create your own server with bots, the game is loyal to this in most cases. And you’ll save yourself a lot of time.

The most problematic achievements here are:

• Award winner — get 100 achievements in total;

• We barely made it — manage to neutralize the plant literally a second before the explosion (hint — turn off the bots and wait about 39 seconds before going to neutralize);

• Short wick — have time to place the charge 25 seconds before the end of the round. Naturally, with a positive outcome;

• Demoman — try to blow up five people at once with one bomb;

• Perevantus neutralisus — start clearing mines, then pause for the enemy, and return to what you were doing;

• There will be no explosion — defuse a total of 100 bombs or more;

• Quick Samaritan — try to save the hostage within one and a half minutes (hint: enter “mp_hostages_max 1” into the console, which will reduce the number of prisoners to one);

• Leader of Humanity — win a total of 5000 times.

Achievement "Blood Money" are also included in the list, so you will have to dig around for a very long time.

The art of combat

There are 40 achievements available in this category, and most of them are easiest to complete on dedicated IDLE servers. Not everything, of course, but you can save time. We also recommend finding the All Weapons and Hostages Achievements map from the author of TrilluXe.

Here we note some of the problematic achievements:

• God of War — shoot 10,000 enemies;

• Rapid fire — kill four in 15 seconds in competitive mode;

• Impenetrable — take 80 damage from grenades and survive to the end;

• Blind resistance — kill 25 people while blind;

• Come on, discharge — manage to kill the player who is neutralizing the plant with a fragmentation grenade;

• The Stalking Dead — win with 1 HP;

• Damage per million — cause a total of 1 million damage;

• The Road to Hell — blind the enemy so that he shoots his partner.

There are more perverted achievements, but these — the most hardcore.

Weapons Specialist

There are also 40 achievements, but they are all elementary and boil down to banality: kill a certain number of times with this or that gun.

Although hardcore ones are also present:

• Premature funeral — kill an enemy with a grenade while dead;

• Gunsmith — Earn all achievements for kills with each type of weapon. Let us remind you that there are more than 30 of them in the game, including knives and grenades.

IDLE servers are best suited for these achievements, no options.

General knowledge

There are 17 achievements here, the lion's share of which come from knowledge of console commands. The difficulty is minimal, as is the value of the rewards in general.

Among the complex ones, we note:

Veteran of the Aztec/Dust map — get championship in the corresponding locations 100 times;

Veteran of the Shorttrain map (now removed, like Dust with Aztec). 

Download these maps from third-party resources, add them to the Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/maps folder, open the game and enter one of the commands in the console:

• map de_aztec

• map de_dust

• map de_shorttrain

Then do what is required.

Arms race

The most hardcore achievements are provided here, requiring a huge amount of time, a steel ass and the same nerves. Difficulty is also added by remote cards, which are discussed above. 

And now about the tough stuff:

• Hands off! — kill a bot with a knife on the last level of the Arms Race;

• One ​​shot — one murder — kill three with one bullet;

• Conservative — win the Arms Race without using reload;

• Don't touch me! — kill 20 opponents who gained superiority in the Arms Race;

• Excessive cruelty — kill an enemy over whom you gained superiority 4 times;

• Hat trick — surpass three players at the same time. 

And this is not to mention the achievements of Pause for a little while and King of the Mountain of Corpses.

If you have a lot of free time — go for it. But we warn you, some achievements are unbearably difficult and even a little absurd. Although who are we to change your opinion about your own skill.
