A Flashpoint representative revealed what the new tournament will be like

The Flashpoint tournament is set to resume in early November after a hiatus of more than six months. Among the teams that will take part in it are – well-known representatives of the European esports scene, including Cloud9, Virtus.Pro, forZe, OG, BIG and fnatic. Christopher "MonteCristo" Michaels, who has been a Flashpoint official since June, spoke about how the tournament will change in the near future.

According to him, the Flashpoint organizers sought to take into account the experience of the previous round in order to make the competition more interesting for all fans of the game. One of the main tasks of Flashpoint – give the competition a fascinating plot, allowing viewers to follow the stories of the players. The organizers are already working on creating the necessary content for this, for example, recording interviews and short documentaries about the teams.

The tournament will continue to be held online, like most of this year's events, but this time the organizers had the opportunity to initially take into account existing restrictions. Initially, they planned to hold at least the playoffs in the LAN format, but due to the increase in coronavirus cases in Europe, this plan had to be abandoned. Instead, they focused on creating a comfortable environment for players and the most impressive experience for spectators, despite the fact that matches will still be played online.
