Those who follow matches of professional cybersportsmen are familiar, first of all, with the competitive mode in CS:GO. In this format, two teams of 5 players fight for up to 16 points, and to win they need not only accuracy and coordination, but also the ability to distribute resources so as to acquire the necessary weapons. However, in reality CS:GO is much more varied, and other game modes can provide some fun.

First of all, let's say a few words about the modes created by the developers themselves.
· Normal mode is similar to competitive mode, but more relaxed. Matches go until 8 wins, there are more players on the map, and friendly damage is disabled.
· Partners – This is a mode for those who prefer to play in a small company. 2 players on each side find out who is stronger using special versions of the cards. The economic system in this mode is also different.
· Arms race – a deathmatch in which for each kill the player receives a more powerful weapon, up to and including a golden knife, which must be used to make the final kill.
· Destroying an object – a more dynamic variation of the competitive mode, in which players use ready-made sets of equipment.
· Flying snipers – entertainment mode created based on user modification. Gravity on the map is reduced, and players start with a sniper rifle and a knife, with which they must deal with opponents.
· Restricted area – a mode that was recently added and is a variation on the recently popular battle royale genre. Matches take place on special maps, and players can loot additional equipment such as axes or a parachute.
· Fight to the death – a mode in which players score points by trying to hit the enemy as many times as possible in a limited period of time. However, it is better to turn to custom servers with a similar mode, since it will be more interesting there.
As for custom servers, the possibilities on them are even more diverse. To find the servers you need to connect to, add the appropriate keywords to the search. Custom modes can be good for fun, as a warm-up, or for practicing specific elements of the game.
· Surf and Bhop (Bunny-Hop). In both modes, the player’s task – get to the end of the map. In the first, you will need to slide over concrete blocks, and in the second – jump on them. Another similar mode – Deathrun, in which not only traps, but also one enemy prevent you from reaching the end.
· There are also many story modes in which players play not as terrorists and special forces, but as other characters. For example, in Zombie these are people and zombies, in JailBreak – prisoners and jailers, and in PropHunt players of one team try to hide from the other.
· Among the modes that focus on certain aspects of the game, it is worth mentioning 35Hp (knife fights, in which everyone starts with 35% health), Aim (fights on small maps, in which the main thing is the ability to quickly aim, Retake (the main task – capturing or holding a point in a short period of time) and the already mentioned Deathmatch.
The variety of user modes is not limited to this. There are servers for accelerated receipt of skins and achievements, and RPG modifications, and much more, so even experienced players will always find something new for themselves.
