It became known that Estonian e-sportsman Robin “ropz” Kool, who recently joined FaZe, will miss the first days of the tournament in Katowice after he developed coronavirus symptoms and tested positive on Wednesday. He is expected to return to duty on February 19, after his quarantine period ends.
On Wednesday, ropz published a message on his Twitter in which he spoke about the situation. He explained that the timing of his return to the team depends on how quickly he recovers. In addition, in any case, he will have to spend ten days in quarantine so as not to put other participants at risk.
The team has not yet announced who will replace ropz during his forced absence. FaZe is scheduled to play her first match at the tournament on February 15: she will face Sprout at the play-in stage.
Robin's disease "ropz" Koola was an unpleasant surprise for the European team, which expects to take a high place at the tournament in Katowice. Ropz, formerly of MOUZ, was added to FaZe's roster this winter. He has already made a successful debut at BLAST Premier Spring Groups, demonstrating the highest rating in the team.
